Introducing Dr. Kim Ji Sun, M.D., whose medical education and postgraduate training were completed in full at Dankook University — one of Korea's established medical institutions. She earned her M.D. from Dankook University College of Medicine, then remained within the same academic system for her internship and residency at Dankook University Hospital, followed by both a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in medicine. This continuity is worth noting: rather than moving between institutions, she built her clinical practice and her research training on the same foundation, over a span of years. Her academic trajectory later extended internationally through an exchange professorship at Stanford University School of Medicine in the United States.

As a board-certified otorhinolaryngologist, she brings a clinical perspective to facial aesthetics that is grounded in the medicine of the nose rather than in its appearance alone. Her subspecialty training was completed as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Asan Medical Center Seoul, one of Korea's largest tertiary referral hospitals, and she subsequently held a professorship at Nowon Eulji University Hospital, where teaching demanded that technique be explained and justified rather than simply performed. Her principal areas of practice today are rhinoplasty, anti-aging treatment, and stem cell therapy, with nasal surgery at the center. Because the nose is both a defining facial feature and a functional airway, this ENT foundation allows breathing and structure to be assessed alongside contour — a consideration that is not always built into aesthetic nasal surgery.

She now practices as Founder and Medical Director of Le.J Plastic Surgery, located on the 7th floor at 134 Dosan-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea. She founded the clinic in September 2025 after her hospital and university career, establishing a boutique practice built around individualized surgical planning rather than volume. At Le.J she personally performs the surgical procedures offered, including CellFix-Nose, the clinic's signature closed-approach nasal tip technique using the patient's own cartilage. For patients, this means the physician who assesses the anatomy, plans the procedure, and performs the operation is the same throughout.

Her approach to patient care begins with anatomy rather than with a preferred technique. Every face differs in structure, and a plan that suits one patient will not suit another simply because the goal sounds similar — so consultation is spent understanding what a particular nose can support and what a particular patient actually wants, before anything is scheduled.
